Is There a Need for Individual Personal Revolution?

I think individual personal revolution and personal salvation, i think, is an important component. And the introduction of ideas that go beyond rationalism and materialism may be a necessary spur for significant change. I feel like rationalism, materialism lead people to believe, well, we're just individuals. Wee hear for a a short amount of time, pleasure, sensation. It seems to me that, just looking around, that seems to be what is happening. The work will be done on the basis of having insight into truth, having a fact based discussion about the consequences of turning any of these knobs.
