The Rise and Fall of Protestant Christianity

I think that evangelicalism is one way of expressing what I mean by mere Protestant Christianity. Sidney Mead argued years ago about why American Christianity and for that matter English speaking Christianity is taken on such a denominational form. When you do have strong beliefs and you do have religious liberty then you're going to have denominations or something similar to them.
