The lazy loading via attribute has support in just about everything except for IE 11 and earlier. There are things in HTML that you can use that will you don't necessarily have a framework for there. The preload attribute is on audio and video elements, where if you want to load your video intentionally, or if you don’t want to intentionally load it because you don't want to use your bandwidth unless they legitimately click play or if they hover over top of it.
