We owe our entire existence to isticticla of top soil, and the fact that it rains even that em really belies the by diversity of our soils. The use of fertilizes can have an effect on the micro biology of soil. It's often a trade off, particularly in agriculture, because herbesides are used to kill off a a lay sowa cropand a non harvested crop that's planted into the soil. So farmers often will have a rotation and increasingly unde regenerative agriculture. Theyre planting out plants tat they're never going to harvest, and with clovers and rye grasses that could rebuild soil. But i feel really strongly that should be the last resort
