The History of Interventionism

If you look at the history of interventionism as a kind of technique to try to constrain various forms of domination and state tyranny, it's not typically very effective. So most immediately after the afghan war began, it was sub contracted out to a bunch of brutal mercenaries who had no loyalty in the population or the northern alliance. And hundreds of thousands of people ended up dying in the region because one american president was too stupid to actually recognize he had no business being there in the first place.
