In the first chapter of "The Deathly Hallows, Part 1," Serius is exhausted. He has given all this physical strength out of himself and now he realizes that what may come next for him isnt to take all his mental and spiritual and emotional strength too. And it's in that moment when he collapses exhausted that his mind has time to imagine what his life will be like going forward. i love that as an answer to magic, that like you are out of energy and you are depleted and lost, and literally something comes out of nowhere to save you.
