How Amphibious Houses Can Reduce Flood Risk

The whole house sits in the wet dock, it's effectively a retaining structure that allows water to percolate into this ground area. So if you had a whole series of amphibious houses you'd all start to incrementally reduce flood risk. We're seeing down in places like D'Orlishan across some set at the moment hundreds if not thousands of homes that are being affected really seriously by the flood. There's a real opportunity for government to actually help lead the way on this and demonstrate how people can take greater responsibility for trying to control flood risk.
