As the number of users rises above one, you're in trouble. The team as a whole was big on let's get good scores on tech and power. Every entity framework core provider of course needs an ADO.NET provider underneath it. And that's how Microsoft decided to build it because otherwise it would never get anywhere. But I think no matter why they did this, certainly the any user of EFCOL has benefited tremendously.
