I'm no Roman. They were disgusting, evil, horrifically sinful societies. But I've always found that if you go into the world of educational pedagogy, you find some of the most serious thinking in this space from classical educators. And so I've never quite figured out how to resolve this conflict. My lack of appreciation for Greek and Roman cultures while simultaneously appreciating many of the aspects of classical education.
