Is Opening a Lot of Credit Cards a Bad Idea?

A lot of people will find that their credit scores will when they have more credit cards. People with one or two cards typically won't have as high of a maximum score. New accounts are going to drag down your score a little bit for a short period of time, but it's a temporary effect and something that is easily mitigated by having a few old accounts thac keep around for a long time.
