I would say that the concept of expected value, what's the probability of something happening times the consequence of it happening? The probability need not be very high for Professor Keen's scenarios to be really meaningful. So if we're not serious and things evolve the way Professor Keen worries, then we're in big trouble. We just haven't been pushed yet. Clearly as shown by President Biden's pre-election maneuvering around energy. And this is why we end up coming back to nuclear power. If you sort by capacity to produce energy divided by carbon emissions, especially the payback period, I think nuclear power is the only way to go.
