Is It Possible That We Should Worry About This Transformation?
I think one lesson basically is that we should take the possibility of radical transformation seriously. It tends to be the case that once an AI system gets as good as the best human at some task, it doesn't just sit there. We're moving towards a world where we just radically different capabilities and much greater capabilities exist. If you were to jump someone from 1ID, ahead to the world today, just they would be similarly disoriented and confused and shocked.
