The Evolution of Beauty
When she was a senior in high school, my thesis project for her AP writing composition class was on the concept of beauty. I wrote about how as we continue to evolve and become more multicultural versions of ourselves, we become more beautiful expressions of the human,. Just like the human. And then right now today, I'm looking around and I'm like, wow, this is so interesting how, and I'm a woman of color, right? It's so interesting how at one point, I was ashamed of my lips because maybe they were more full than my white friends due to predominantly white schools.
