More veterans die by suicide than they do in combat. And to reclaim that moment during and after Vietnam, I suppose, is to re-politicise how we think of treatment. So let me say one word about suicide, and I'll go on suicide rates are extraordinarily high. What is incredibly interesting is it's hard to correlate suicide rates directly with combat or in theatre experience. But still, then it might say something about deep brutalisation of being in the military.I mean, I don't think that's a simple, people often say, well, it can't be that, but well, then what's else is going on?
