The Issue of Suspicion

A certain amount of suspicion is healthy. But there's another way in which suspicion can become its own intoxicant, it can become conspiratorial. And ironically enough, it can becoming a tool that authoritarians use to undermine trust. So I mean, the Nietzschean tradition runs strongly through postmodernist thought. It's aimed at exposing power. Everything in the world is reducible to power.
