Massimo: I think there is a stoic version of love, which would still be different than what we typically think of as love. He rebels against the idea that it's all well and good when someone is kind to you but inflamed by pride if they don't like you. Massimo: Modern psychology does make this distinction pretty clear. In fact, you can actually study the hormonal profiles that characterize that last the romantic phase and the more quiet, mature phase.
