The Darkness of the Mockingbirds
In the final movie, peter jackson remarked that the set looked like it was painted in 19 67. The actors also had to have their faces painted unusually red in order to retain color. Yett, the dark, i think it's definitely thay, they went more for like, a dark in tone, rather than like a literal darliteral darkness. And then i think i have some trivia to share about this. Ya, the mirkwood scenes required nearly all color to be drained from the footage in order make the forest appear sick as a result. Well, that's how they got certain shades of gray and black and white. Since they's so interesting.
