The Difference Between Aggressive and Assertive Behavior
When we fight fairly for something, when it's not really about us or it's about some valid principle, then that by definition is assertive behavior. Aggressive people are aggressive. They're more rage and anger driven. Assertive people are more like adults. They set boundaries. You've got to have a pretty big fat conscious and a sense of guilt and shame to have these tactics work on you. Just try, for example, with someone who's grandiostically narcissistic and has very little conscious, just try guilting them into doing something.
