CHAPTER

The Induction of Regulational T Cells in the Colon and Intestine

YANUS cells are these new antigen-presenting cells that are characterized by expressing CD11c. They also express MHC class 2 and they have already been kind of associated with antigen- presenting in the gut. And very interestingly, they are expressing IRA which is normally expressed on medullary thymic epithelial cells to generate tolerance. So I thought it was very interesting because this kind of really gives us a completely new understanding of the induction of regulatory T cells in the colon and in the intestine.
