Bath Houses - The Right Thing to Do
i did not appreciate and learned why, in an unsafe worl for gay people, why they would feel so strongly about the baths. It wasn't just because it's a pleasure palace or something like that, but it's a safe place to get together. And i actually think the public health official's dilemma here was real. The episode really drove home what it was that was being lost by this community,. which is a stark contrast to asking people to just, like, put a go de mask on their faces right? Like, that's all i kept thinking about, like this whole time.
