Introduction
Scientists have announced that Cuttlefish... And there we are! CUTtlefish, the things that look like abbreviated squid, have passed an important cognitive test. The Stanford Marshmallow Experiment was designed to test children's abilities to delay gratification. Unlike primates, dogs, crows, and human children, cuttlefish don't use tools, nor are they social animals. To economists, the ability to delay gratification is most interesting because it makes capital accumulation possible.
