When I got back from Afghanistan, after really scratching my head for a long time and banging my head against the wall and saying what the hell were we really doing there, this just doesn't make any sense. So when coming to the conclusion that it was a Afghanistan simply provided a means for the money laundering money from the US tax base on the one hand and for what I've previously described I can't manage a complexity which created a lot of opportunities for both not just defense contractors but nonprofits and State Department employees as well. No reform possible so long as the people in charge of the system remained in charge because their mistakes were not in fact mistakes, that their mistakes were a means of keeping themselves
