The Reedy Creek Improvement District
The deal gave disney control over an area of forty square miles. Through the reedy creek improvement district, it maintains roads, controls utilities and could even build a nuclear power plan t just asked for everything they might conceivably want in the future. They do tax themselves to pay for inte structure on their property. And so they pay what we call property taxes on that amount. That money comes back to orange county.
