I didn't really stand much for chance, frankly. Food was just norm then. I think growing up at a time when there was only three television channels and you were on a remote part of the East Coast to Scotland, your contact with the outside world was the written word. And so she would just gracefully just float through this kitchen making wonderful things that we just adored. They very generously and sweetly let us just grow and become ourselves wild, pretty crazy but we got there. There was no amazingly problem. No pressure to become, you know, and to jump on the bandwagon of success and grasping and get there.
