The Enneagram: A Superior Personality Typology
The Enneagram is a way of classifying and categorizing the ego which we love to do in Western culture classifying categorize things. We do it with animals, but people do not want to do it with humans. Because we want to think we're above that kind of classification we're too complex and we are complex. It's a shorthand for understanding these sort of nine different ways of approaching the way the ego defends itself against the world. And when you get into the Enneagram it can become very nuanced and complex.
