The Opposition to Religion in the Communist State
In some ways, communism is an attractive model. But of course, we have to get beyond just the model. The opposition to religion in the communist state was first because they saw themselves as practical, rational beings and religion as superstition which gets in the way of the good life. And then finally, the rejection of christianity was for reasons that are as old as christianity itself. These leaders recognized that jesus was counter cultural and and will ultimately subvert the whole world.
