For example, extroversion is something that's rewarded in our society because these are the kids who want to talk to adults. On the other end, for example, on the more introverted side, they're often better listeners. And so by understanding kind of these things about your child, you can be proactive. For example, if you have a child who is quieter and is more likely to hang back, let them the teacher know that she might become overwhelmed in big group activities.
