How Does the Lightning Network Work?
The channels have to be constructed in this way so that you can unilaterally recover, as opposed to being reliant on that other person. So there's a little bit of cryptographic magic that goes into it. But essentially that's part of what gives lightning network this ability to be used in a non costodial way and not trusting somebody else. The reason we do that is to allow every one to have lucally the grap of the network to be able to find route. People who running a not of chain are able to still link that a given txo was used to open a channel between two notes.
