Air Raid Sirens in Khirson Region
The city of Khirson is the place in Ukraine where really important things are happening. The Ukrainians have seemed to be sustained their counter-offensives from the north down towards the city, trying to form a pincer movement around Russian forces. But there are still fears over how Russia will lash out in other ways, in a sense, resorting to its scorched earth policy. It effectively says if you can't have this bit of Ukrainian territory, then no one can. Moscow has been accused of laying explosives on the Kakevodam and Zapparija nuclear power plant further up the Nipro River.
