In 2008, the fear was that this shock looks worse than 2008 and 2008 took us a decade to get rid of. I remember the price of like Brent crude for like one day was like negative 50 cents. Which tells you something about how much consumer demand is in the economy. It's bonkers that the European Central Bank was raising rates in 2011, but unemployment was like 10% in the Euro area.
