The Cost of a Fixed Mortgage
Mortgage rates have gone up from 2.5% to 5%. The longer you're fixed for, the cheaper it is according to Broclos. If I kept at same term that I was on in terms of years left to repay, my mortgage would go up by 400 pounds a month. That's not just like an amount that people can just stop having lunch every other week out of their mates and save that 400 quid. It's more than doubled.
