The Role of Phthalates in Pregnancy

Phthalate syndrome is caused by exposure to the chemical phthalate. In humans, a mother who's pregnant with a boy, she's pregnant with her son. She may not necessarily know that she's pregnant yet because when this is happening, let's say she may not even test positive if she doesn't,. If she doesn't, if she hasn't missed a period or something like that. So explain what phthalate Syndrome is. What do we see in our rodent studies that have been looked at? Dr. Swan's work examines the impact of environmental exposures on reproductive health and neurodevelopment.
