Introduction
John Roggi was head of the criminal division at Main Justice. He'd spent a year prosecuting more than two dozen alleged seditionists in what he had charged in court as a plot to subvert American democracy. The sudden death of the judge overseeing the trial, caused a missed trial in the case. Members of Congress who'd been involved with some of the defendants and their lawyers were criticized during the trial. It seemed like the trial would never come to any kind of end at all. And that may have been an unavoidable conclusion. But Roggi believed the evidence collected for the trial exposed a massive and ongoing national security threat.
