Trump defied standard norms of accountable talk for political expedients. His bas loved him for that, in part, i think, because they feel oppressed by those very norms. And when somebody like trump comes along and exemplifies that defiance, people flock to it,. But i think trump did enormous damage to the social norm that, more than any other, promotes human flourishing.
