Is This the Sort of Space Defense Programm the Militarization of Space?
In the early days of space, i wouldn't characterize that as militarization of spacemc. Back then we were very worried about soviet ic b ms and the missile gap. The idea of having these systems that could detect those types of activities over denied areas without having to fly a u two airplane and get shot down was a big deal. Much of what was going on at the time was also in parallel with the development of intelligence uses of space.
