It Takes a Village to Be an Expert in Reading Research
I've heard people say that nobody knows the reading research better than you. You know, one of the things that I've had a great opportunity with was first the National Reading Panel and then the federal government's follow-up panels. We had some pretty great scholars on those various panels and when they were working these things through, you know, I was always close by to talk to them about this stuff. So I really had an incredible opportunity to get known the research much more thoroughly than would be typical.
