Dot Com - Is AOL Worth Less Than AOL?
If AOL had been independent, they were trying very hard to do things like go to a Delphia cable or Comcast and say, let's co-brand AOL. But once they're with Time Warner, then why would any other broadband player play ball with them? Right. So in a way, strategically, that never made sense. And so essentially, the combined companies a year later are worth less than AOL was at the time of the announcement.
