Ishbi Era and the Kingdom of Issin
By the eighteenth century b c e, shamshe adad was in control of a large and impressive assyrian empire. The foreign amorite and elamite invaders had been repelled. Ishbi era's kingdom was based in the city state of issin. A man called naplanam would set up his own kingdom at the city of lasa. We don't really know anything about naplanam or lasa before this period but we do know that the kingdom of lasa was also round for a couple of hundred years. This would lead us into what some refer to as the issin lasa period of southern mesopotamia which was essentially created in the ruins
