Narkan can be given through the et tube if you do not have IV access. Methane is actually more active at the mu receptor in terms of being able to block than it is at the kappa and delta. methyl now trek zone which is not it's significant in that it does not cross the blood brain barrier. Opiates are synergistic with propofol and benzodiazepines in terms of their ability to cause analgezia amnesia and also to cause respiratory depression ketamine reduces opiate consumption post-operatively probably through the nmda receptor antagonism.
