Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, right? Charlie from Triere and Freddie from Barman. They made a big deal out of the fact that you needed an entirely different social system on top of them. But then we have the same amount of change from a thousand to 1870. And at each time there's no reason to think that the sociological, political and economic systems running on top of the forces of production that worked 50 years ago are going to work today. Indeed, it would be remarkable if they did.
