The optogenetics field has created a big energy barrier in the field of stem cell therapy. It's amazing what we can discover by taking something which is holistic, a human experience, and then finding that it's made of pieces. People who have been through severe stress or trama have experienced this phenomenon of dissociation where they feel separate from their body. This is a part how the mammalian brain is designed to be able to separate the self. That's something most of us don't question in the course of our life. And so it's a fascinating thing to consider.
