Mary Annning Ickthiosaur Fossil

Ickthiosaur Fossil, believed to have been collected by Mary Annning, was excavated from southern England in 1818. This fossil is believed to be the first complete Ickthiosaurus fossil ever found. It was placed in the collections of the Royal College of Surgeons in London and was destroyed there when the city was bombed during World War II. Two different casts of it were found at Yale University's Peabody Museum and Berlin's Natural History Museum.
