Firefighting in Toronto 1855

A company might get sent out ahead like they'll send one guy ahead of everyone else to call dibs on a hydrant and then if even if the other truck shows at first he's like sorry we already called dibs  on this hydrant. This scenario reminds me of um I think it's the is it mother jugs and speed there's that movie about like the lazy ambulance company but that's basically the same thing okay. 18 55 was a particularly crazy year in Toronto when it came to rioting firefighters so the first set to happened when two brigades one of which was the hook and ladder firefighting company responded to a fire.
