S08 E07: Minimal ethics for a planetary crisis

AKC Podcast

CHAPTER

The Anthropocene

The belief in seemingly interminable growth has led to depletion scarcity and the crisis of biological and social life. This apocalyptic state of events has been called the Anthropocene. Stretching back at least 250 years to the early days of fossil fuel excavation and burning, the Anthropocene can't be seen or known by asking for human help. We are thus slowly being appeased into accepting the status quo about the condition of our planet. The most significant change from a geological perspective is one that is invisible to us: climate change.
