I've Got to Drop a Whiskey - Is That a Good Idea?
Any fluid ingested that's cold is not a good idea. Alcohol is dehydrating, so it will not hydrate them anyway and actually wouldn't give them any benefit. Probably all they'll feel is that warm tickle at the back of their throat. So from a symptom perspective, it might give them a couple of seconds of comfort but I wouldn't advise them having some whiskey on the top of the mountain.
