Lynn te an was a captain in miama's army when the coup happened. He grew up on a diet of war films which glorified the military. But he never truly brought into the propaganda around it, and thought one day he'd be able to leave. Lynn is 30 years old and remembers growing up under the previous military regime. Our youth under military rule was not free. Those who have money or ties to the officers holding high positions were free. But those from ordinary families and those having political background opposing the military were worse off. We were governed with fear. The country has also been progressing. So i believe that one day i will be able to leaving the army.
