Micheal deconstructs the prevailing retail system and uses findings to build a better way. Customers would be able to choose precisely which components they wanted, the hard disguise the amount of memory the monitor, among others, and then have it delivered to them. A huge advantage, in michael's eyes, was that customers wouldn't ever need to step into a retail store.
