The Importance of Diversity in Comics
Kirby is a prodigent of his time, but this is a guy who's progressive by the context. He was writing diverse characters into the story because he thinks it's exciting and cool. But when you see what Stanley wrote over it, he's undermining every heroic badass thing that these two women are doing for no reason. It makes no sense. So it's undermining the storytelling that they're trying to do. And we should embrace people who are different from us, including people who are strange or Japanese.
