Patreon is a website where you can go and it makes it really easy for your fans to support your work. For me it was really eye opening when we would work in video games and then it often felt like the legal team was the final art director on these projects. There's higher powers that you have to answer to and often they may not be artists. So people come and leave very soon because they have found someone else they like even more and then they go further.
