Stranger Things - Tool Number Three - Metaphors

Writer Matt Bird recommends what he calls metaphor families. He says this is the aspect of your character's lives that determines which metaphors, curses and exclamations they use. In Stranger Things it's interesting to note how the writers utilized swear words to influence the character voices purposefully giving more profanity to the child characters than the adults.
